Title: Effect of Simvastatin on the Gradient Pressure of Isolated Systolic Hypertension
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of simvastatin on the gradient pressure of isolated systolic hypertension.METHOD:Selected 113 patients with isolated systolic hypertension, and were randomly divided into control group(n=57) and treatment group(n=56).Control group used routine antihypertensive drug, and treatment group, routine use of antihypertensive drug treatment based on the plus simvastatin 10~20 mg,qd,at bedtime. Each group followed up 6 months.RESULTS:After 6 months, the treatment group is better than the control group in decreased pulse pressure(P0.05).The treatment group had occurrd 1 cardiac events.CONCLUSION:Lipid-lowering statin drugs had good effect on the gradient pressure of isolated systolic hypertension.
