Title: Aqueous Copolymerization of Acrylamide and DMC
Abstract: Aqueous copolymerization of acrylamide(AM) and methacryloyloxyethyltrimethyl ammonium chloride(DMC) was studied using compound initiator system.The influences of conditions,such as reaction temperature,monomer concentration,initiator concentration and pH,on the intrinsic viscosity and solubility of product were investigated.The obtained optimum reaction conditions were reaction temperature 25 ℃,monomer concentration 45wt%,initiator concentration 0.010wt% and pH 3.0.Under above conditions,the intrinsic viscosity of product was 9.346 5 dL·g~(-1).The structure of obtained product was characterized by FT-IR.
