Title: Aetiological study on viral pathogens of diarrhea patients from Taizhou in 2013
Abstract: Objective To study the aetiology characteristics of virus in diarrhea patients at Taizhou in 2013. Methods A total of 336 stool samples from diarrhea patients were detected by real-time PCR. Results The detection rates of adenovirus, rotavirus, norovirus I, norovirus II, astrovirus and sapovirus were 3.57%, 5.36%, 0.59%, 7.14%, 2.68% and 2.08%, respectively. The rate of viral diarrhea was highest during January-April and November-December. The infection rate in age group of 0-10 years was higher. Conclusion Norovirus II and rotavirus were the main pathogens which induced infectious diarrhea at Taizhou in 2013. We should strengthen the surveillance of viral diarrhea and typing detection, which may provide the evidence for the prevention and control of virus diarrhea.
