Title: The effect of fluoxetine on depressive symptoms and event-related potentials P300 in patients with Parkinson's disease
Abstract: Objective:To explore the treatment effect of fluoxetine hydrochloride on patients with Parkinson's disease with depressive symptoms.Method:49 patients with Parkinson's disease with depressive symptoms were randomly divided into fluoxetine group and control group.HAMD and P300 potential were evaluated before and after two and eight week treatment for the two groups.Results:After two and eight weeks the fluoxetine group showed more significant decrease in HAMD and latencies of N2 and P3 and more significant increase in amplitude of P300 potentials than control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion:Fluoxetine hydrochloride can improve the depressive symptoms and cognition of patients with Parkinson's disease.
