Title: Relationship between the expression of p53?PCNA and c-erbB-2 proteins and biologic behaviors of human colorectal carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the relationship between the expression of p53,c-erbB-2, PCNA and the biologic behaviors of colorectal tumor and their potential usage in prognosis of colorectal cancer. Methods With immunohistochemical assay, 53 colorectal carcinomas were studied. Results The positive rates of p53, PCNA and c-erbB-2 expression were 52.38%?96.2%?54.53% respectively. The all positive expression rates of there 3 proteins in colorectal cancer was 37.74%. These statas were not correlated with age, sex, tumor sites, stromal lymphocyte infiltration ,fibrous tissue proliferation, histological patterns ( P 0.05) but related to the infiltration depth of cancer, lymph node metastasis ( P 0.05). And these two foctors were very important for the prognosis of the disecese. (r 1=-0.4213, P 0.05). Conclusion The expression of p53?c-erbB-2 and PCNA proteins may be useful in considering the prognosis of colorectal cancer.
