Title: Study on the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer after radical operation
Abstract: Objective:To study the effect of two kinds of different digestive tract reconstructive techniques on the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer after proximal radical operation. Methods:The gastroesophagostomy(GE) and accommodation double-tract digestive reconstruction of jejunal interposition(GIE) were used respectively in 59 patients with gastric cancer after proximal subtotal gastrectomy treated in our hospital from June 2004 to January 2007.The Spitzer index of quality of life was applied to investigate the quality of life in both groups before operation and in 1,6 months after operation. Results:The score in both groups after operation all increased compared with that before operation(P0.05);the score in GIE group was higher than that in GE group(P0.05).Conclusion:The technique of accommodation double-tract digestive reconstruction of jejunal interposition was beneficial to improve the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer after proximal subtotal gastrectomy.
