Title: Clinical characteristics and coronary angiographic findings in patients with coronary artery disease in combination with different blood glucose levels
Abstract: Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics and coronary angiographic findings in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) in combination with different blood glucose levels. Methods 106 subjects with angiographically diagnosed coronary heart disease were divided into three groups: normal fasting glucose (NFG,n=60,FPG5.6mmol/L);impaired fasting glucose(IFG,n=16,FPG 5.6~7.0mmol/L);diabetes mellitus (DM,n=30) group.Blood pressure,FPG,cholesterol(CHO), triglyceride (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), serum creatinine (Scr) were detected in all subjects. The clinical features and data from coronary angiographies were compared among three groups. Results ① There were not statistically significant differences in age,CHD duration,TC,TG and Scr among three groups (all P 0.05).LDL was increased, while HDL was decreased gradually from NFG,IFG to DM group (P0.05).②The incidence rates of severe coronary artery stenosis, complete occlusions and diffuse lesions were increased along with FPG elevating.Diabetic CHD patients suffered more from triple vessel lesions(P0.05),the incidence of triple vessel lesion was 40%.Conclusions The extent and severity of lesions in coronary artery increase with elevated FPG,and FPG is one of risk factors for CHD.
