Title: Curative effect of amiodarone combining metoprolol on paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia
Abstract: Objective To investigate the application effects of propafenone, amiodarone and metoprolol on paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia ( PSVT ) and effect of combination of amiodarone and metoprolol. Methods The patients ( n =160 ) with PSVT were randomly divided into propafenone group, amiodarone group, metoprolol group and combining group ( amiodarone combining metoprolol, each n =40 ) . The curative effects and changes of blood pressure were analyzed in all groups. Results The effective rate and onset time for ending PSVT were, respectively, 95% ( 8 min ) in combining group, 90% ( 8 min ) in metoprolol group, 82.1% ( 13.5 min ) in propafenone group and 81.1% ( 16 min ) in amiodarone group. The effect of reducing blood pressure was the highest in combining group, secondary higher in metoprolol group and amiodarone group, and the lowest in propafenone group. Conclusion Compared with propafenone, amiodarone and metoprolol, the combination application of amiodarone and metoprolol has the best effect of ending PSVT and reducing blood pressure.
