Title: Effect observation of telmisartan combined with felodipine in treatment of hypertension
Abstract: Objective: To observe clinical efficacy of telmisartan combined with felodipine in treatment of hypertension. Methods: 160 patients with hypertension were randomly and equally divided into treatment group(80 cases) and control group(80 cases),those in control group orally took telmisartan while those in treatment group orally took telmisartan combined with felodipine. They were observed and followed-up for 6 months.Blood pressure levels were measured 1,2,3 and 6 months after the treatment to assess the antihypertensive standard-reaching rate and side effects. Results: After the treatment, the blood pressure levels of the two groups both significantly decreased.Through the statistical analysis, the antihypertensive standard-reaching rates of treatment group 1,2,3 and 6 months after the treatment were all higher than those of control group(P 0.05).At the same time, there was no significant difference in the incidence of side effects between the two groups(P 0.05).Conclusions: Telmisartan combined with felodipine is an effective and safe way in the treatment of hypertension, and can be used prevalently.
