Title: Expression of Survivin and VEGF in breast cancer and their relations
Abstract: Objective:To study the expression of Survivin and VEGF in the breast carcinoma tissue, and their relations to the carcinoma invasion. Methods:By using immunohistochemistry,we detected the expression of Survivin and VEGF in 41 cases of breast cancer and the breast tissue of 10 normal subjects. Results:The positive expression of Survivin and VEGF in breast cancer was higher than that of normal breast tissue(P0.05).Their expression was correlated with lymph node metastasis and c-erBb-2,and Survivin expression was positively related to VEGF expression. Conclusion:The expression of Survivin and VEGF may play an important role in the occurrence and development of breast carcinoma. The higher expression of Survivin helps VEGF promote the growth of the endothelial cells.
