Abstract:Objective To explore the expression of heat shock factor 1(HSF1) in prostate cancer tissues and the relationship between its expression and clinicopathological features of prostate cancer.Methods The ...Objective To explore the expression of heat shock factor 1(HSF1) in prostate cancer tissues and the relationship between its expression and clinicopathological features of prostate cancer.Methods The expression of HSF1 in 82 tissue samples of prostate cancer was detected by immunohistochemistry and the results were analyzed by medical image analysis system.Results Immunohistochemical staining of HSF1 protein in the cytoplasm of prostate cancer cell was positive,with the positive expression rate of 89.2%.The expression of HSF1 in prostate cancer tissues was positively correlated with Gleason score (r=0.66,P0.001).The expression of HSF1 and PSA levels were increased with the raising of PSA,and there was a positive correlation between them (r=0.76,P0.001).Conclusions The enhanced expression of HSF1 protein in prostate cancer may be associated with the regulation mechanism of heat shock protein family members.Read More
