Title: Physiological effects of preservative containing B_9 on cut Gerbera flower
Abstract: Effects of Preservative Containing B_9 on physiological actions of cut Gerbera flower were studied. The result indicated that the preservative increased the activity of peroxidiase(POD), delayed the enhancement of malondialdehyde (MDA) content and the composition rate of O~-_2,decreased the decomposition rate of protein, reduced the composition rate of proline and the dissipation of water,and maintained the stability of membrane in petals of gerbera during vase-holding. The vase-holding time were prolonged four days by using the preservative.
