Title: Minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy with pneumatic lithotripsy guided by B-type ultrasound for the treatment of upper urinary calculi
Abstract: Objective To summarize the experience of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) with pneumatic lithotripsy under B-type ultrasound guidance for the treatment of upper urinary calculi, and improve the skill of operation. Methods 186 patients with kidney and ureteral calculi underwent MPCNL with pneumatic lithotripsy under B-type ultrasound guidance.procedure time, blood loss and the stone-free rate were analyzed retrospectively. Results The minimally invasive percutaneous renal access of 18F was successfully established in all patients under B-type ultrasound guidance and immediate lithotripsy was performed. The average operation time was 68 minitues, and average blood loss was 70ml.Stone free rate was 90.32%.No severe complication occurred. Conclusions MPCNL with pneumatic lithotripsy appears to be efficacious and safe for disintegrating and removing upper urinary tract calculi under B-type ultrasound guidancd with exact orientation, even instead of X-ray guidance.
