Title: Minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy under ultrasound guidance for treatment of renal calculi
Abstract: Objective To report the experience of management of renal calculi by minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) with pneumatic and ultrasonic power under ultrasound guidance. Methods Clinical data of 65 patients treated with combination of pneumatic and ultrasonic power during MPCNL were retrospectively analyzed. Results The access was successfully established in all patients.Complete stone clearance was achieved in 56 cases in phaseⅠ,stones from 6 cases were completely removed with second lithotripsy.Stone free rate was 95.38 %.Open surgery was performed in 2 cases due to excessive bleeding. The average operating time was 56 minutes.Severe complications were not occurred during the process of operation. Conclusion MPCNL with pneumatic and ultrasonic power can be applied as an efficient therapeutic measure for treatment of patients with renal calculi.
