Title: Clinical effect of rosiglitazone on treatment of diabetic nephropathy
Abstract: Objective:To explore the protecting function of insulin increasing sensitivity agent rosiglitazone on kidney of diabetic patients. Methods:51 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into two groups by double blind random control method. Group A received rosiglitazone 4mg,qd. Group B received gliquidone 30mg,qd. for 3 months.24 hour urinary albumin was measured by radioimmunoassay and renal function, fasting blood glucose,2 hours blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin were also detected before and after treatment. Results: Rosiglitazone could lower significantly 2hBG than those before treatment (P0.05),but could not lower significantly than gliquidone(P0 05); Rosiglitazone had significant curative effect of lowering albumin (P0.01).However,gliquidone had not this effect(P0.05). Conclusion: Rosiglitazone can protect the kidney of diabetic patients.
