Title: Clinical Study on Secnidazole in Patients with Periodontitis
Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Secnidazole in patients with periodontitis.METHODS:This study was a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled trial in which 33 periodontitis cases were treated by Secnidazole tablets(trial group),and 28 by Tinidazole tablets(control group).RESULTS:There were significant differences between the trial group and the control group in effective rate(15.2% versus 14.3%)(P0.05).Nor were there significant differences between the two groups in safety.CONCLUSION:The therapeutic effect and safety of Secnidazole is similar to Tinidazole in patients with periodontitis.
