Title: Analysis and Significance of Cell Cycle Phase in Human Glioma
Abstract: Objective: To explore the expression and significance of Cyclin D1,Cyclin A,Cyclin B1 and anti-phospho histone-H3(PHH3) in human glioma. Methods: Expression levels of Cyclin D1,Cyclin A,Cyclin B1 and PHH3 were ana lyzed by S-P immunohistochemical analysis in 59 patients with glioma(gradeⅠ10 cases, gradeⅡ 15 cases, grade Ⅲ 15 and grade Ⅳ 19)and 37 normal brain tissues. Results: There were no expressions of Cyclin D1,Cyclin A,Cyclin B1 and PHH3 in normal brain tissues. The positive expression rates of Cyclin D1,Cyclin A,Cyclin B1 and PHH3 in gliomas were 69.5%,69.5%,62.7% and 84.7% respectively. With the increasing of pathological grades of glioma, the mean labeling indexes for Cy clin D1,Cyclin A,Cyclin B1 and PHH3 in human gliomas increased accordingly. The differences of Cyclin D1,Cyclin A,Cy clin B1 and PHH3 labeling index were significant between four groups(P 0.01).Conclusion: The cell cycle phase can be analyzed by immunohistochemical stain, which is beneficial for tumor grading and helpful to predict the prognosis.
