Title: A Survey on Knowledge Attitude and Practice(KAP) Related to AIDS in College Students in Wuhan
Abstract: Objective To find out college students' knowledge related to AIDS, attitude to marriage and social communication, hence to provide reliable message and basis for AIDS education in this group of students. Methods An anonymous survey was conducted in college students who received out-patient service in a department of dermatology located in Wuchang district, Wuhan. Results More than 60% of respondents know about AIDS transmission channels and risky behaviors; the correct rate to the knowledge of non- AIDS transmission channels varied from 30.1%~64.9%; the correct rate to the knowledge of AIDS prevention is lower than 40%; There are much more respondents who oppose extra-marriage sex than those who agree. Conclusion The survey shows a lack of deeper AIDS knowledge and a need of more detailed course for AIDS education.
