Title: Comparison of Three Kinds of Experimental Hyperlipidemia Rat Models
Abstract: Objective: To compare three kinds of experimental hyperlipidemia rat models. Methods: Forty rats were randomly divided into normal diet group(A),high fat diet(vegetable oil) group(B),high fat diet(lard oil) group(C) and group of intragastric administration of fat emulsion(D),10 rats in each group. One month later, the total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),and morphological changes of the liver were compared among the groups.Results:(1) As compared with group A,TC was increased in groups B,D and C,TG was significantly increased and HDL-C significantly reduced in group C,HDL-C significantly increased, and LDL-C in groups B,C and D was significantly increased(P0.05,0.01).Conclusion:The hyperlipidemia models in rats fed on the lard solid met the diagnostic standards of hyperlipidemia.
