Title: Clinical observation of treating infantile pneumonia with Ambroxol
Abstract: Objective To discuss the clinical effect of Ambroxol intravenous injection with the assistance of compression atomization inhalation to treat infantile pneumonia. Methods 120 infants with pneumonia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The two groups were both given treatments of regular anti-infective,correcting hypoxia,acid-base balance correction and electrolyte imbalance. The treatment group was given Ambroxol intravenous injection with the assistance of compression atomization inhalation, while the control group was only given Ambroxol intravenous injection. The duration of curing cough, sputum obstruction, anhelation and lung moist rale and the time of staying in hospital were compared. Results The treatment group had shorter time to recovery from sputum obstruction and lung moist rale as well as a shorter in-hospital time that of the control group does(P0.05).The total effective was higher in treatment group than control group. The difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Both combination of ambroxol intravenous injection and compression atomization inhalation and mere ambroxol intravenous injection can get good effects on curing infantile pneumonia. However, combination of ambroxol intravenous injection and compression atomization inhalation could improve the symptoms of cough and expectoration significantly, which proves that combination of ambroxol intravenous injection and compression atomization inhalation has special clinical effects to cure thick sputum and difficulty of expectoration.
