Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of early rehabilitation nursing interventions on treatment compliance and prevention of complications in patients with lower extremity fractures. Methods Five hundred cases of elderly patients with lower limb fractures were randomly divided into conventional care group and rehabilitation care group.Routine nursing care was applied in two groups of patients with lower limb fractures, and early rehabilitation intervention was applied in rehabilitation care group on the basis with 2 weeks of intervention time.Observed and compared the two groups of patients' compliance and complications. Results The treatment compliance in rehabilitation care group was significantly higher than conventional care group(χ2 = 13.68,P0.01) after 2 weeks of intervention. The incidence of complications in rehabilitation care group such as urinary retention, deep vein thrombosis, constipation, pressure sores, pulmonary infection and the incidence of urinary tract infections, was significantly lower than the conventional care group(P0.01).Conclusion The early rehabilitation nursing intervention can significantly improve the treatment compliance and reduce the incidence of complications in elderly patients with lower extremity fractures.
