Title: On Interlanguage Created by Chinese College Students in English Learning
Abstract: Interlanguage, a language system created by learners of a foreign language, is the result of incorrect generalization and reasoning of the rules in the target language acquisition. The process of the establishment of interlanguage is, in fact, the re-creation of language. The present study, taking the passive form for example, is to analyze the characterisitcs and patterns of interlanguage created by the Chinese learners of English, focusing on the analysis of the types of mistakes in the passive form. It is hoped that the study will be of some help to college English teaching.
