Title: Analysis on relationship between VEGFR-3 and lymphatic vessel density in breast cancer
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between VEGFR-3 and lymphatic vessel density(LVD) in breast cancer. Methods The breast tissue section of 40 cases of breast cancer,10 cases of normal breast, was performed with enzyme-histochemic double staining to distinguish lymphatic vessels from blood vessels.Immunohistochemical SP method was adopted in detecting VEGFR-3 protein expressions in 50 cases. Results The poxitive rate and degree of VEGFR-3 and LVD expressions in breast cancer were significantly higher than those in the control group.VEGFR-3 and LVD were conspicuously higher in lunph node positive group than in lymph node negative group. Conclusions The expressions of VEGFR-3 and LVD were higher in breast cancer and they promoted lymph node metastasis.
