Title: Study on Graft Copolymer of Starch with Acrylamide/Acrylic Sulfonate
Abstract: Graft copolymer of starch with acrylamide/acrylic sulfonate was synthesized using ceric sulfate as an initiator,starch and acrylamide (AM) ,acrylic sulfonate (AS) as raw materials and the optimum reaction conditions were determined by orthogonal test as follows: reaction temperature 55℃ ,dosage of initiator 0.3 g, mass ratio of AM to starch 4:1,volume of 30% AS solution 0.2 mL.The effects of volume of AS solution on the properties of graft copolymer including viscosity,solubility,temperature resistance,salt tolerance and water loss control property were examined.The result showed that with the volume increase of AS solution,the viscosity decreased gradually,the solubility increased gradually.There was no effects on temperature resistance of the product.It had good salt tolerance with the water-loss control property increased.
