Title: Preparation and Properties of Starch Grafted-poly(AM/SSS/DAC) Fluid Loss Reducer
Abstract: Starch grafted-poly(AM/SSS/DAC) copolymer used as fluid loss reducer was prepared by graft copolymerization among starch,acrylamide(AM),acryloyloxyethyltrimethlammonium chloride(DAC) and sodium styrene sulfonate(SSS) in aqueous solution,using ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfite as redox initiators.Factors influencing the apparent viscosity of the starch grafted copolymer solution,such as initiator amount,SSS amount and temperature were investigated.Effects of DAC amount on the performance of the drillings fluids were also studied.Structure of the starch graft copolymer fluid loss control agent was characterized by way of X-ray diffraction.The results showed that the apparent viscosity of the starch grafted copolymer solution had low sensitivity to temperature.The starch graft copolymer fluid loss control agent had good fluid loss control under high salty condition(20%NaCl and 10%CaCl2).X-ray diffraction results indicated the structure of starch graft-copolymer fluid loss control agent.
