Title: Safflower Yellow Pigment Alprostadil Combined with Methylcobalamin for Treating Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Abstract: Objective:We observe the efficacy of safflower yellow pigment, alprostadil, combined with methylcobalamin in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods: 60 patients with type 2 diabetes suffered from peripheral neuropathy were randomly divided into two groups.30 cases were for the treatment group, control group 30 cases. The treatment group were injected with safflower yellow pigment 150mg in 250mL normal saline intravenous infusion per day,20μg alprostadil injection by adding 100mL of normal saline intravenous infusion once daily, methylcobalamin injection 0.5mg per day.The control group simply using methylcobalamin intramuscular injection 0.5mg daily.Clinical efficacy and nerve conduction velocity changes were evaluated after the course of treatment lasting 14d.Results:The total effective rate of clinical efficacy was much higher in treatment group than which in control group(P0.05),80.0% and 53.3% for treatment group and control group respectively. The nerve conduction velocity were increased significantly after treatment for both groups, and improved more significantly for the treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion:Safflower yellow pigment, alprostadil, combined with methylcobalamin were effective for treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
