Title: Clinical Study on Safflower Injection in Treating Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Abstract: To study the clinical efficacy of Safflower injection in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and its mechanism,88 subjects were randomized into treatment group(44 subjects treated by Safflower injection)and control group (44 subjects treated by Shengmai injection). The nerve conductive velocity, blood rheology and blood lipid were assayed. Results:The total effective rate was 90 9% in treatment group and 40 9% in control group,P0 01;the nerve conductive velocity increased obviously (P0 05,P0 01)in treatment group;the blood rheology improved more apparently in treatment group than in control group. It is revealed that Safflower injection can improve clinical symptoms and blood viscosity, increase nerve conductive velocity, consequently,to prevent and treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
