Title: Study on injury mortality in Zhabei District,Shanghai from 2007 to 2012
Abstract: Objective To understand the characteristics and trend of injury mortality in Zhabei District of Shanghai,and provide scientific basis for further injury prevention and control.Methods Data was analyzed by epidemiological descriptive methods from 2006 to 2012.Results In 7 years,it was found a downward trend in injury mortality,decreased from 41.75 /105in 2006 to 28.64 /105in 2012,standardized mortality rate of injury decreased from 20.47 /105in 2006 to12.64 /105in 2012,accounting for 38.26%.Standardized mortality rate of injury in male was 1.24 times higher than in females.The elderly persons above 65 years old were the main population,accounted for 63.01%.And falling was the first cause of injury death in elderly persons,of which mortality rate was 77.18 /105.Traffic accidents were the first cause of injury death of people under 65 years old,of which mortality rate was 4.87 /105.Conclusion Injury is becoming a serious public health problem,it should be carried out targeted intervention and strengthened education and guidance of falling and traffic accidents.
