Title: Analysis on Cognition on AIDS and Self-perceived Risks of HIV Infection and Influencing Factors Among Undergraduates in Longyan City
Abstract: [Objective] To explore the acquisition of AIDS related knowledge,behavior,attitude and the self-infection predictive value and the risk factors of the young students of Longyan city,so as to provide basis for the future targeted AIDS related health education in university students.[Methods]A total of 1 538 students selected by stratified cluster sampling from a Longyan college were enrolled.They were surveyed by self-designed questionnaire anonymously.[Results]The average awareness rate about AIDS was 80.88% in 1 464 students.72.88% of the students thought that private of HIV/AIDS should be kept as secret,21.79% of the students had not received AIDS related knowledge before college,21.99% of the students approved premarital sex,36.71% of the students used condoms while having sexual act,255 students had sex.28.83% of the students thought that themselves had a risk of getting AIDS,71.17% of the students thought that themselves had no a risk of getting AIDS,(P0.01).Unconditional logistic analysis showed that the students who thought AIDS was far away from us,the classmates had sex,visited unhealthy websites,had poor resistance with porn message,were more likely to be infected with AIDS,OR=0.65,0.79,1.89,1.44.[Conclusion]The awareness rate about AIDS is higher in students of Longyan city,and they have lower capacity for self-prediction about HIV infection.
