Title: Chemical Constituents of Underground Parts of Iris lactea
Abstract: AIM:To study the chemical constituents of the underground parts of Iris lactea Pall.var.chinensis(Fisch.) koidz..METHODS:Extracted with 70% alcohol, isolated by column chromatography on silica gel,and purified by recrystallization.RESULTS:Ten compounds were isolated from Iris lactea. On the basis of the physical properties and spectral data, the structures were identified as tectochrysin;5,2′-dihydroxy-6,7-methylenedioxyflavanone;5,7-dihydroxy-6,2′-dimethoxyisoflavone;4′,5-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyisoflavone;4′,5,7-trihydroxy-6-methoxyisoflavone;5,3′-dihydroxy-2′-methoxy-6,7-methylenedioxyisoflavone;5,2′-dihydroxy-6,7-methylenedioxyisoflavone;irisoid D;irisoid Aand heptadecanoic acid.CONCLUSION:All the ten compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time and compound was isolated from genus Iris for the first time.
