Abstract: Objective:To observe the efficacy of the treatment of primary nephrotic syndrome by combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Methods:76 cases of primary nephritic syndrome were randomly divided into control group(37 cases)and treatment group(39 cases)according to admission order. The control group received conventional treatment with glucocorticoid, while the treatment group with astragalus-diffusa soup and glucocorticoid. After 4 weeks, the overall efficacy, the changes of several major biochemical indicators and side effects of all the patients were observed. Results:The total effective rate and complete remission rates in treatment group were 87.18% and 46.15%,significantly higher than 78.38% and 35.14% in control group(P0.05).After treatment,in the treatment group,24h Upro,TC,TG significantly decreased,TP,ALB increased significantly,LDL,HDL,BUN,Scr and other indicators had also improved significantly, compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The treatment group superior to the control group in reducing edema and reducing infection rates and the recurrence rate, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of primary nephrotic syndrome by combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, significantly reducing urinary protein, increasing serum albumin, and reducing the side effects of hormone, could be significantly better than western medicine purely.
