Title: Finite Element Analysis on the Connection Between Powerhouse and Dam
Abstract: In combination with the practice of a hydropower station,the three-dimensional finite element method is used to study the rules of deformation and stress distribution under all kinds of working condition.It is shown that the sliding stability of the dam can be improved by taking into account the dam and plant interaction.The joining of plant and dam can also reduce the plant deformation caused by high downstream water level.These investigations provide reliable basis for reasonable structural design of hydropower station.
