Title: Optimizing Selection of the Form of Connection between Dam and Powerhouse and Research of Cancelling Expansion Joint
Abstract: Longkaikou Hydropower Station is taken as the practical object for the research of the connection form between dam and powerhouse and cancelling expansion joint,considering the influence of the crack between dam and powerhouse,the initial crack between steel liner and concrete cover and the mutual influence between penstock and dam,etc,3-dimentional finite element technique is adopted setting up the integral mechanical analysis model of typical part of the dam,powerhouse,diversion penstock and riverbed.The numerical values of the relative displacement between the structures on each side of the crack of penstock with cushion layer under combined operating condition,the stress level of the penstocks nearby around the pipe passing the crack,and the sensitivity of the influence to the structure's response from single factor of the combined operation condition are researched.And the conclusions that the penstock with cushion layer may be used to substitute expansion joint,and the crack between dam and powerhouse may be backfilled to the elevation of the top of the concrete cover are drawn,which may be referenced by Longkaikou Hydropower Station and similar projects.
