Title: Effects of Early Rehabilitation Therapy on 120 Patients with Acute Strokes
Abstract: Objective: Effect of early rehabilitation therapy on motor function and activity of daily living in patients with acute strokes has been observed.Methods: One hundred and twenty patients with acute strokes were randomly divided into groups rehabilitation and control(n=60 in each group).The patients in the rehabilitation group had received both routine and early rehabilitation therapies.Scores of neurological functional impairment and activities of daily living were documented before the treatment and 1 month after treatment.Results: Before the treatment,there was no significant difference in the functional impairment score between the two groups.But after treatment,difference in the scores between the two groups was significant(P0.05).After the treatment,BI score showed a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05),and the increased score of BI was significant(P0.01).Conclusion: Early rehabilitation therapy on patients with acute strokes can significantly decrease disability,enhance motor function and improve the ability of daily living.
