Title: Effects of Comprehensive Rehabilitation on Activities of Daily Living of Patients with Sequelae Following Cerebral Infarction
Abstract: Abstract Objective: To explore factors related to the rehabilitation outcomes of stroke patients in activities of daily living.Methods: 193 patients with stroke were divided into the first rehabilitation group(64 cases),the second rehabilitation group(67 cases) and control group(62 cases).The patients in both two rehabilitation groups received comprehensive rehabilitation therapy,and those in control group were followed up only.The Barthel Index(BI) was applied to assess patients at the beginning of enrollment and 1,3,and 6 months after treatment respectively.Results: After treatment,the scores of BI in the first rehabilitation group were increased significantly as compared with those before treatment(P0.05);those in the second rehabilitation group were increased significantly as compared with those before treatment(P0.01);After treatment for 6 months,the scores of BI in the control group were decreased significantly as compared with the beginning of enrollment(P0.05).Conclusion: Rehabilitation has a significant efficacy on the improvement of BI.
