Title: Effect of Early Rehabilitation Therapy on Motor Function of Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia
Abstract: Objective:To approach the effect of early rehabilitation therapy on motor function of stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods:108 stroke patients were divided into early rehabilitation group and control group on the basis of the starting time of rehabilitation. Besides medical treatment, the patients in early rehabilitation group accepted system rehabilitation training from beginning by rehabilitation therapist. Fugl-Meyer and Barthel index were employed for the functional assessment before and after treatment. Results:Before treatment, the Fugl-Meyer score in early rehabilitation group was significantly lower than in control group (P0.01), but there was no significant difference in ADL score between them. After 3-month therapy, the scores of Fugl-Meyer and ADL were increased as compared those before treatment (P0.01、0.05), and those in early rehabilitation group were higher than in control group (P0.001). Conclusion:Early rehabilitation therapy can reduce the disabled rate and complication occurrence in stroke patients.
