Title: PHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF BISMUTH IN DRUGS WITH CPA-DBF
Abstract: In a mixed acid medium of 0.36mol·L -1 H_2SO_4-0.60mol·L -1 H_3PO_4, bismuth(Ⅲ) reacts with CPA-DBF to form a blue complex, having its absorption maxima at 638nm and an apparent molar absorptivity of 9.4×10 4L·mol -1 ·cm -1 . Beer′s law holds in the concentration range of 0~30μg of Bi(Ⅲ) per 25ml of solution. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of bismuth in some drug samples, e.g. colloidal bismuth pectin capsule, bismuth potassium citrate granules etc.
