Title: The Effect of 60℃ Lipiodol Embolization on the Blood Supply of VX_2 Hepatic Tumor in Rabbit
Abstract: Objective To study the hemodynamic changes of VX2 tumors in rabbit treated by 60℃ lipiodol embolization. Methods Thirty rabbits with VX2 hepatic tumors were randomly divided into 3 group, group A,group B and group C were treated by saline,lipiodol(37℃) and lipiodol(60℃)via rabbit hepatic artery, respectively. The hemodynamic changes of hepatic arteries(HA),portal veins(PV) of VX2 tumors were observed by Doppler ultrasonography one week before and after treatment. Results One week after heat-embolization,the velocity of HA in group C decreased more than that in group B(P0.05),and A(P0.01).The diameter of HA reduced(P0.01) and resistent index increased(P0.01) in group C,but the diameter and velocity of PV had no change(P0.05).The blood signals were found in 30 lesions before treatment, while after heat-embolization(60℃ lipiodol),the blood signals of tumors were obviously reduced or disappeared partly. Conclusion 60℃ lipiodol embolization is more effective to block the blood supply in rabbit VX2 hepatic tumors.
