Title: Expression of endostatin in supraglottic carcinoma
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression of endostatin in supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma and analyze its relationship with clinicopathological features.METHODS The tissues of the supraglottic laryngeal carcinoma and its adjacent normal laryngeal tissue for 40 patients were collected.Endostatin expression in the specimen were detected using SP immunohistochemical method.RESULTS Endostatin expression in laryngeal carcinoma was significantly higher than that in the specimen of the adjacent normal laryngeal tissue, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.368,P 0.05).The positive endostatin expression rate of the carcinoma tissue in patients without lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that in patients with lymph node metastasis, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=9.726,P0.05).CONCLUSION Endostatin can inhibit the growth and metastasis of laryngeal carcinoma, and it can provide a theoretical basis for the prediction of the prognosis of laryngeal carcinoma.
