Title: A New Interpretation on "Contemporary Western Translation Theory"
Abstract: Contemporary Western Translation Theory, which is put forward as a new concept, only has quite a short history. But,even so,there are still at least three different understandings concerning its time range: from the 20th century, after the WWII,or from 1950s or 1960s.In addition, there are different opinions on the relationship between the two concepts, modern and contemporary. Therefore,it would undoubtedly contribute to a better understanding about the Contemporary Western Translation Theory if we could put forward the idea that the contemporary western translation is a dynamic concept, which always refers to the western translation theory of about the latest ten years.
