Title: Guo Jian-zhong's Translation Thoughts and Practice
Abstract: The shift of translation studies discovers translators,which leads to the study of the subject of translators' subjectivity in translating.As a translator in present-day China,Guo Jian-zhong has achieved some impressive results in his studies of translation theory and practice.From the perspective of contemporary Western translation theories,this paper discusses Guo's translation thought and practice concerning his application of Western deconstructionist and linguistic translation theories to his translation practice.The paper also points out that while absorbing the essence of Western translation theories,we should also pay attention to new translation thoughts that have evolved in the development of translation studies at home.It will help build up Chinese translation theories suitable for China's national conditions and the characteristics of the Chinese language and culture.
