Abstract:Objective An evaluation of the reconstructed imaging of coronary arteries with 16-slice spiral CT in diagnosis of coronary disease.Methods The reconstructed images of coronary arteries obtained on a 1...Objective An evaluation of the reconstructed imaging of coronary arteries with 16-slice spiral CT in diagnosis of coronary disease.Methods The reconstructed images of coronary arteries obtained on a 16-slice spiral CT scanner were reviewed in 60 cases, on which the follow ing techniques were applied: retrospective ECG-gating, Segment method with 75% R-R interval,volume rendering technique (VRT),m axim um intensity projection (M IP ), m ultiplanar reconstruction (MPR),curved planar reconstruction (CPR)and CT virtual endoscopy (CTVE).R esu lts In all 60 cases,different stages of CHD were revealed in 21 cases;none abnormality was found in 33;and images were inpoor quality in 2 cases,which was available for diagnosis.There were 4stents planted in 4cases:soft plaque suspected in 1case,patent in 2and occlude in 1.C onclu sion The reconstructed im aging of coronary arteries with 16-slice spiral CT is superior m odality in evaluation of severe coronary stenosis,plaques,and the pantency of the intra -lum inal stents, which is an efficient and non -invasive im aging in diagnosis of early -stage CHD and screening in high risk population.Read More
