Title: The Exploration of Constructing Solid State Theory Curriculum for Graduate Students in Science and Engineering
Abstract: The paper analyzes the problems in the solid state theory curriculum teaching for graduate students in the research universities.The teaching reform on traditional solid state theory curriculum for graduate students,based on the characters of students and the disciplinary background in South China University of Technology,has been introduced:the curriculum contents are optimized,which include reducing the starting point of the course,emphasizing key points and introducing the frontier knowledge;the teaching methods are improved,not only by combining students' autonomous learning,classroom-teaching and discussion,but also applying the heuristic teaching and the computer-aided instruction to train the ability of asking,analyzing and solving questions;bilingual education is implemented in teaching language,which can adapt to the international requirements.
