Title: A Study on the Constructing of Practical Curriculum Platform of English Majors' Comprehensive Ability—from the Perspective of the Curriculum Theory
Abstract: This paper explores to construct a certain kind of curriculum platform for practicing English majors' comprehensive ability. It integrates the extra-curricular activities planned and unplanned by means of curriculum in English majors' teaching;The curriculum is designed under the guideline of the curriculum theory; in the paper, the objective and principles, content system and modules, implementation strategies, and evaluation mechanism correlated with the designed curriculum are clearly defined; the purpose for designing this curriculum is to supplement the classroom teaching, and it is also interrelated with students' researches, and simulative practical trainings. The designed curriculum is regarded as a Parallel Curriculum for English majors.The study is an attempt of a school-based researching of practical teaching for English Majors in college and university.
