Abstract:RAPD marker was used to detect inter-population genetic diversity of S chinensis.fifty-six samples,collected from typical populations,with using 20 random primers to investigate the genetic diversity ...RAPD marker was used to detect inter-population genetic diversity of S chinensis.fifty-six samples,collected from typical populations,with using 20 random primers to investigate the genetic diversity among population.The 20 primers produced total of 125 bands(with 62 for polymorphism band),average of 6.25 bands per primer,and polymorphism rate was 49.6%.A dendrogram was prepared on the basis of a similarity matrix using the Unweighted Pair Group Method Arithmetic Mean(UPGMA) algorithm and the genetic distance ranged between 0 to 0.56,and revealed high genetic variation.An estimate of the genetic diversity and differentiation between genotypes of breeding germplasm is of key importance for its improvement.The results obtained from this study could be usefull in germplasm characterization and better plant breeding.Read More
