Methods Serum cTnI, creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase isoenzyme MB (CK MB) were simultaneously measured in 30 healthy subjects and 62 UAP patients with chemiluminescent enzyme immunometric assay, cardiac events were observed closely in hospital. Results Among 37.1 % of the UAP patients cTnI levels were positive (cTnI 0.1 μg/L), 39 cases were negative, no significant difference was found in serum CK and CK MB among all the groups. Among the 62 UAP patients, the incidences of cardiac events, including acute myocardial infarction(AMI), sudden cardiac death and refractory angina pectoris within 30 days, were significantly higher in group positive than in group negative. Conclusion Serum cTnI demonstrates minor myocardial damage and can predict the prognosis of patients with unstable agina.Read More
