Title: Three-dimensional CT cephalometric of the craniomaxillofacial hard tissues of Mongolian adults with normal occlusion relation
Abstract: Objective To obtain the three-dimensional cephalometric values for the Mongolian adults with normal occlusion. Methods The craniomaxillofacial hard tissue of 48 Mongolian adults (male 25, female 23) with normal occlusion was scanned by the Spiral CT. Three-dimensional images of craniomaxillafacial bones were reconstructed by a 3D program and 37 items of length and 19 items of angle were measured on the image. Results The cephalometric values of the 37 items of length and 19 items of angle were collected. Conclusion The cephalometric values showed that Mongolian have some obvious features as compared with other races. The data may be useful in the fields of orthognathic surgery.
