Title: FEATURES OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL X-RAY CEPHALOMETRICS OF CRANIOMAXILLOFACIAL HARD-TISSUES IN THE MONGOLIAN
Abstract: Objective:To study the three dimensional x ray cephalometry of craniomaxillofacial hard tissue in the Mongolian. Methods:105 adults(male:51 and female:54) with normal occlusion relation are chosen. Lateral and posteroanterior cephalograms of the subjects are taken respectively with a roentgenograph cephalometer. Computing 33 items of length, the means and the standard deviations were subjected to a t test.Results:(1)The results of 3D x ray cephalometry show that length is connected with sexual discrepancy.(2)The Mongolian adults are different in sagittal, vertical and horizontal measurement when compared with Guangdong's and Xi'an's adults. (3) There are differences when the same measurement of both sides are compared. Conclusion:The three dimensional x ray cephalometry of craniomaxillofacial hard tissue in the Mongolian establishes the normal value of Mongolian, provides fixed quantity foundation for diagnosis, design and treatment of clinical orthognathic surgery and orthodontics in the Mongolian.
