Title: Study on the Relationship of Field Dependent-independent Cognitive Styles to College English Learning
Abstract: This essay focuses on the relationship of field dependent-independent cognitive styles to College English Learning by conducting research among 50 freshmen in a college.It turns out that college students have their special features in the FI/FD cognitive style.Then it puts forward that teachers should distinguish students of independent congnitive style from those of dependent cognitive style and encourage them to combine the two styles in order to learn English perfectly.
