Methods Thinprep Cytologic Test(TCT) screening was performed for 4129 women at our gynaecological clinic, and cervical biopsy under the colposcopy was performed for 891 cases of TCT positive. Results Among 4129 cases of liquid based smear,3238 were normal, accounting for 78.42%;891 cases were positive, accounting for 21.57%,in which 472 were ASC US(11.43%),25 were ASC H(0.61%),297 were LSIL(7.19%),61 were HSIL(1.48%),19 were SCC(0.46%),12 were AGC(0.29%) and 5 were AC(0.12%).The age analysis of the TCT positive result showed that, compared with other age groups, patients in age group between 30 and 39 had the highest incidence of cervical lesions, and there was statistical difference in the comparison(P0.01). Conclusion TCT can positively indicate the pathological changes of cervical cancer and can be applied to large scale screening.
